We’ve had a number of members contact us about receiving text messages that claim to be from Southeastern Electric and warns that we (SEC) will be disconnecting power if a payment is not made right away by clicking the link. PLEASE DO NOT CLICK THE LINK IN THE TEXT. Representatives of Southeastern Electric do not process payments over the phone or by Text! If you receive a call or text like this, please hang up and call SEC directly at 800-333-2859. Do not give out any personal information such as account number, social security number, credit/debit card or banking information. Remember, if in doubt, hang up or ignore the text and dial 800-333-2859. Do not be a statistic!
