Temporary Utility Assistants – Southeastern Electric Cooperative, Inc., Marion, SD.
Southeastern is accepting applications for two (2) temporary Utility Assistants to work with line crews constructing and maintaining electric utility distribution voltage lines. Hourly rate. No benefits. Openings will be available at two of our six office locations with employment beginning in May 2023. Graduation from vocational/technical school in power line studies required. Experience in electric utility line construction and maintenance may be substituted for vocational/technical education. Must have a commercial driver’s license (CDL) or be able to obtain a CDL within 30 days of employment. Southeastern has been experiencing rapid growth in its electric system for many years, especially in the Sioux Falls metro area. While not guaranteed, it is possible that the Utility Assistant positions could be extended for an additional 1,000 hours in order to serve this growth.
