Journeyman or Apprentice Lineworker – Lyon-Lincoln Electric – Tyler, Minn. – Lyon-Lincoln Electric Cooperative (LLEC), a rural electric distribution utility, is seeking a journeyman lineworker or apprentice lineman to join our dedicated work force of 16 employees. The successful candidate will be required to perform duties required of a lineman including climbing poles, operating heavy equipment, lift materials and occasionally work nights, weekends and holidays for outage restoration. A Line Technician Certificate from a certified vocational school or equivalent is required. Person hired for this position will be required to reside within 15 minutes of the LLEC office in Tyler, M.N. A Commercial Driver License will be required. A pre-employment physical and drug test is required. Education, training, knowledge of RUS specifications and experience in electric distribution line work preferred. Journeyman Lineman – Oahe Electric – Blunt, S.D. – Oahe Electric Cooperative has an opening for one journeyman lineman on our distribution construction and maintenance crew. This position is based in Blunt, S.D. Oahe Electric is a not-for-profit distribution cooperative that delivers power to our 2000+ members. Key responsibilities include: Installing or replacing equipment on distribution poles at heights up to 50 feet; Working outdoors with considerable physical exertion, occasionally in adverse weather conditions; Working extra and irregular hours as needed to restore power. Key requirements include: Completion of a power line technical program, completion of an apprenticeship program and a Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Temporary 1000-hour Line Worker – H-D Electric – Clear Lake, S.D. – H-D Electric Cooperative is accepting applications for one 1000-hour line worker position (classified as an Electric Helper-Operations). This is a seasonal position, average 40 hours per week. Job duties will include working with other Operations Department Employees in the construction and retirement of our distribution utility lines. Out-of-State Rural Electric Opening

CEO – PKM Electric – Warren, Minn. – The board of directors of PKM Electric Cooperative, located in Warren, Minn., is searching for qualified candidates for the position of Chief Executive Officer. The CEO of PKM Electric Cooperative works with the board of directors and staff to achieve the cooperative’s vision for the future while following the seven cooperative principles. This includes meeting the electrical transmission and distribution needs, and working regionally and nationally on key resource issues. The CEO provides leadership and implements strategic plans to ensure the cooperative is responsive to its customers, employees and the changing demands of the electric utility industry. The CEO ensures the cooperative conducts its business in accordance with sound financial management practices, follows the policies and objectives established by the cooperative board, articles of incorporation and the bylaws of the cooperative. The CEO provides direct supervision to the CFO, operations manager and member service manager. The CEO reports to an elected nine-member board and is responsible for keeping the board informed of regulatory and political issues affecting the cooperative, the financial health of the cooperative, staffing adequacy and system reliability. Candidates must have the following qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years electric utility experience and 5 years upper level management, preferably with a rural electric cooperative.

• Experience in electrical finance, system operations, member relations or engineering.

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, business administration or accounting is preferred, and certain required knowledge, skills and abilities that are necessary to carry out the duties of the CEO.

• Strong people and communications skills plus leadership ability.
