Account Manager – RESCO – S.D. – Rural Electric Supply Cooperative (RESCO), a member-owned, not-for-profit distributor of electrical products, is looking for an Account Manager to join our team. This position will manage sales and customer relations at electric utilities, specific utility-oriented contractors, consulting engineers and specific OEM customers in South Dakota. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Promoting products and developing solutions to address customer needs and problems; Providing customer assistance by continuously focusing on service, technical support and project planning; Working with inside sales to strategize on major bids and determine sales approach with each customer; Interacting and travelling with RESCO manufacturers to promote products and provide technical assistance. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or associate’s degree in a technical or engineering field along with three to five years of experience in outside sales. Experience in the electric utility industry preferred. Candidate must have ability to travel 80% of the time, in addition to possessing and maintaining a valid driver’s license. Engineering & Member Services Technician – Verendrye Electric Cooperative – Velva, N.D. – This position performs installation, technical trouble shooting, maintenance and repair on the cooperative’s SCADA(Supervisory control and Data acquisition) system, along with other electric/electronic systems. This role is also tasked with implementing the cooperative’s shop and field meter testing program, and to conduct testing, maintenance, inspection and repair of high and low voltage electrical apparatus. Additional duties include working with members on cooperative promotions and energy efficiency programs, as well as renewable energy systems. Qualified candidates will hold a two-year degree in electrical or electronics technology, with North Dakota Journeymen Electrician’s license preferred. Vice President of Customer and Corporate Relations – Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative – Great Lakes/Okoboji, Iowa – Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative (ILEC) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Vice President of Customer and Corporate Relations. Position objectives and responsibilities are as follows: to promote and ensure the safe, efficient, and economical use of electricity and other cooperative services to member owners; to encourage and support rural community development efforts; to effectively use communications to ensure the understanding and support of the member-owners, general public and governmental representatives and agencies for the cooperative; to maintain, improve and direct the cooperative’s billing and customer services systems; and to develop annual and long-range departmental plans. Bachelor’s degree with a business-related major is required. Five to ten years of progressive business management or professional staff experience in the electric utility industry is preferred. Experience in planning and coordination of an organization’s marketing and/or community relations programs preferred. Successful applicant must have a demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others and manage a department’s work in customer service, economic development and marketing. Utility Line Instructor – Northeast Community College – Off-Campus, Western N.E. – This position will develop, design, write and deliver job training and safety class sessions as required and assist in the development of additional training activities for the Nebraska Rural Electric Association, Nebraska Municipalities and other participating electric utility organizations as assigned by the Dean and the JT&S Coordinator. This position will further collaborate with industry leaders to schedule, travel to, and deliver the class sessions in a timely fashion at numerous locations. Class sessions may entail a non-traditional schedule, travel, overnights, and the potential of more than a 40-hour work week. The position requires the maintenance of accurate documentation of training, courses offered, and the submittal of required reports. This position will primarily maintain training responsibility for electrical utility organizations within Region III, consisting of the western third of the State of Nebraska including Cherry County south to Red Willow County and west to the Nebraska border. This position will also be responsible for conducting training at sites in Eastern Wyoming. The trainer must reside within or near the Region III training area. Bachelor’s degree or an Associate degree in the field with five years of work experience required. Requires extensive background in electrical safety and regulatory issues as it relates to high voltage rural electric work practices. Ability to develop and use effective organization and work procedures. Experience in education/training is desired. High Voltage Utility Worker background required.
